Preston fans have responded positively to the clubs decision to trial out a new smoking area for fans at half time during games.
The area, which is located on the corner where the Sir Tom Finney stand and Alan Kelly Town End meet was trialed for the Nottingham Forest game.
One fan, Raymond Harrison said: “Every other ground does it, I go to most away games, they let you smoke your e-cigarettes inside them such as Wolves too.
“Even Peterborough who are in the division below us have an outside are where you can smoke.”
If the trial is successful it will be extended until the end of the season, where a review by the club and the regulatory authorities will take place.
Another fan Daniel Evans said: “It’s about time we had a facility for people who want to smoke, we’ve been a bit behind the times. Hopefully this will encourage more people to come to Deepdale now we cater for smokers.”
Access to the smoking area will be available five minutes before half time until five minutes after half time. With the area being for two stands supporters will have to show their tickets upon re-entering the ground and will be refused entry by failure to do so.
