WEB EXCLUSIVE: Match Report: Bolton Wanderers 0-0 Chesterfield

Bolton Wanderers draw 0-0 with Chesterfield at the Macron stadium.

In the first half, the game was  a tactical battle with the teams passing and probing in the opening exchanges.

Filipe Morais was bright and would have opened the scoring if he could have kept his shot down.

Adam Le Fondre’s freekick lifted the home fans as he cause a scramble in the Chesterfield box but it was cleared.

At the end of the first half, the score was 0-0.

In the second half Bolton were aggressive and got a flurry of chances.

In the 51st minute, Mark Beevers attempted freekick hit the fingertips of the Chesterfield’s goal keeper Thorsten Stuckmann.

Bolton fans thought the had the lead in the 67th minute when Dean Moxey attempted a thunderous shot outside the box but just missed the net.

Majority of the Bolton Wanderers crowd thought that the ball went in, while the opposition crowd were silent.

Despite the lack of goals,Bolton put in a good display but dropped a point in the promotion race.
