A last minute try from Jordan Street secured a vital one-point victory for Luctonians over Preston Grasshoppers.
The damaging defeat leaves Hoppers marooned in the relegation zone after letting a 17-0 half-time advantage slip.
The hosts dominated the opening period, and fully deserved their lead.
Tom Hurst got the scoring underway on 15 minutes when he latched onto a deft grubber kick from Ryan Glynn, with Lewis Allen converting.
Allen added a penalty, before the home side bagged another converted score on the stroke of half-time.
A penalty try was awarded for persistent collapsing of the scrum by the Luctonians pack, who struggled to deal with their dominant opponents all afternoon.
Luctonians showed a spirit and determination in the second period which was non-existent in the first-half.
Adam Knight got them on the scoreline, finishing well in the corner, but John Morris pushed his conversion wide.
Another Allen penalty made the scores 20-5 going into the final half hour.
Luctonians rallied and when Stefan Psota crossed the whitewash, the momentum was back in their hands.
Just past the hour, Joseph White touched down from a driving maul, and Morris’ conversion took the scores to 20-19.
Allen opted for sticks with eight minutes remaining, hoping it would be enough for victory.
But a last gasp pushover try from Street meant Luctonians snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
